- Survival analysis and classification of patients
(January 2010 - )
- Goal of the project is to use gene expression profiles to classify cancer patients into
distinct prognostic groups.
- AutoQSAR
(January 2009 - January 2010)
- Together with colleagues from the Molecular Informatics Group at the Northern Institute for Cancer Research we provide scientists funded by CRUK with best available QSAR models and validation. We are now working closely with scientists from the Northern Institute for Cancer Research,
Institute for Cancer Research and
Cancer Research Technology
in automating their process of QSAR model building and improving their predictive capabilities.
- Project JUNIOR
(November 2008 - November 2009 )
- It is a one year project at the Newcastle University funded by the
Microsoft Research. "Cloud Services for Science" is a term
used in Microsoft for Cloud Computing,
and Windows Azure specifically, which supports researchers worldwide.
The project is a trial use of the "Cloud Services for Science" in the cheminformatics environment.
The integration of an already established system, like Discovery Bus, and Windows Azure
will be implemented. We are helping our colleagues at the Newcastle University
as regards the integration of the Discovery Bus with the Cloud Computing environment.
- Microarray data analysis
(December 2007 - )
- We have established a collaboration with scientists from the Pathworks Diagnostics.
We are experimenting with new ways to select markers from the microarray data and how to optimise the whole process.
- QSAR model building for anti-tumor projects at the
Northern Institute for Cancer Research
(June 2007 - July 2009)
- We have worked closely with the Molecular Informatics Group at the Northern Institute for Cancer Research
to produce reliable
QSAR models for their anti-tumor projects. We have used the Discovery Bus to produce the
QSAR models.
We have improved the quality of the existing model building techniques and descriptor calculators
and developed new ones.
- myStructure
(December 2005 - March 2007)
- It is an opensource project intended for
QSAR specialists. It relies on
mySQL database and
CDL package.
It was used in a multi-objective reverse QSAR research project.
At the moment it is deprecated.
